Sharing polls while protecting privacy

Last updated: 2026-10-16

Private information can be in the question itself

Hiding an account name does not guarantee anonymity. A workplace, school, address or detailed description of an incident can make someone recognizable. Do not put another person’s phone number, email, health information or private messages in a question or its choices. Remove details that are unnecessary for the question.

A link, a cover and the content are different

Truedo’s share cover does not show the poll creator’s name outside the site. You still decide where to send the link, and a recipient may forward it. Before sharing, check the destination app, the preview and any description you add yourself. Do not reintroduce private information in a social-media caption.

Check your profile preferences

Manage profile privacy and anonymous posting in the application. A private profile does not remove identifying details from what you write. Visibility inside Truedo and privacy settings on an external social network are separate. Even content sent only to friends may be copied or captured.

Stop spreading a problem when you notice it

If personal information has been shared accidentally, avoid making additional copies. Use Request a review on the poll or send a brief explanation to support@truedo.one. Include only what is needed to identify the concern. Do not include passwords, verification codes or unnecessary private information about someone else.

Deletion may not remove every copy

Removing content from the site may not automatically delete social-network caches, screenshots or copies made by others. The most effective precaution is to remove private details before submitting. Consult the data-deletion page for account removal and the privacy page for service providers and processing purposes.
